Mr. Hufschmid is an independent consultant.
He has a strong expertise in the Swiss banking sector and investment services.

From 1980 until 2002,Mr. Hufschmid worked for Bank Sarasin & Cie. in various positions including director and head of institutional investors as well as member of the executive board. In 1998, he became partner of Bank Sarasin & Cie. Since 2002, he is a member of the board of directors.

Before joining Bank Sarasin & Cie. Mr. Hufschmid worked from 1977-1980 for the “Schweizerische Bankgesellschaft” (now UBS) in the finance and investment department.

Mr. Hufschmid holds a Master of Economics and Business Administration from the University of Basel and participated in the advanced management program of INSEAD.

Mr. Hufschmid is board member of several small- and mid-size enterprises and foundations as well as chairman of the investment committee of the University of Basel.
